Simple hosting for static websites

Let’s make internet easy.

“internet” - not Banksyomg why is your screen so big

The easy way out

Why is it still so hard to get a website out there? With lovelycode it takes seconds. No SSL to configure, no domain to buy, nothing to set up. Add your files and they’re live. Here’s an illustration for the visual learners:

Step 1:
Give us your fancy files

A pile of JSON, CSS, HTML, JS and image files

THENSUDDENLY

The entire planet goes:
“lol I can see it on my phone”

What you get

The boring parts of hosting, already done. Everything a website should come with, without spending an afternoon setting it up:

  • Your files served byte for byte, as uploaded. No banner, no surprise scripts, no opinions.
  • No bandwidth limits, with fair-use conditions. Your site can survive Reddit’s front page.
  • Global edge network, DDoS protection, HTTPS. All by default, nothing to configure.
  • Password protection, for portfolios, drafts, and that one client.
  • Clean URLs, no .html hanging off the end.
  • GitHub sync, Deploy endpoints, for when the site is built somewhere else entirely.
  • Custom domains (paid plan).

And it’s cheap

Have you seen the price of a burger lately? Everything is expensive now. Making a website shouldn’t be. So lovelycode isn’t. Cheap felt like the decent thing to do.

What you won’t get

There are a few things lovelycode won’t do. Fix your posture, for one, or get you to bed on time. It also skips a few features you probably don’t need anyway:

  • No Server-side code: PHP, Node, Python, Rails, etc. Run them elsewhere, send the output here.
  • No Forms: Formspree or Basin have you covered.
  • No Databases: Supabase or Firebase will do the job.
  • No Scheduled jobs: cron-job.org does it for you.

“I don’t care about PHP”

- The Sun (happiest thing in the universe)

And that’s it

That’s everything there is to know about lovelycode. Cheap, simple, and your website is live in seconds. Hard to see what’s left to think about, but take your time. The waitlist button will be right here:
