These Terms of Service (“Terms”) describe the conditions for accessing lovelycode.app and Lovelycode’s static website hosting service (the “Service”). “Lovelycode”, “we” and “us” refer to the operator of the Service. “You” refers to the person or organization using it.
1. Accounts and authorization
Provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in details and deploy keys secure. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. If you use Lovelycode for an organization, you must have permission to act for it. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
2. Scope of the Service
Lovelycode hosts finished static website files. You build your website elsewhere and upload the output, connect a GitHub repository or use a deploy key. Publication depends on your website’s publishing settings. Technical behaviour and limits are described in the documentation.
Keep your own backups. Saved versions and rollback are subject to availability and retention limits and do not replace independent backups. Deleting a website removes its hosted files, subject to applicable preservation requirements, and releases its lovelyco.de address, which may then be used by someone else.
3. Content ownership and permissions
You keep ownership of your content. You give Lovelycode permission to store, copy and deliver it as needed to provide the hosting service, including generating the previews shown in your dashboard. We may also preserve or disclose relevant content where required by law or otherwise lawfully necessary to address abuse or legal claims. This permission does not transfer ownership to us.
You are responsible for having the rights to upload and share your files and for any information your website collects from visitors. Add the notices and obtain the permissions your website needs. Password protection controls access but does not prevent a visitor from copying or sharing content they can access.
4. Acceptable use and enforcement
Do not use Lovelycode to:
- Host unlawful content or infringe someone else’s intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Distribute malware, run phishing pages, steal credentials or carry out fraud.
- Host, create, share or facilitate child sexual-abuse material, grooming, sexual exploitation or trafficking.
- Share intimate images without the depicted person’s consent, including fabricated sexual images, or use them for threats or extortion.
- Threaten, harass or endanger people, or facilitate violence or abuse.
- Attack the service, access another person’s account without permission or bypass access controls and service limits.
These rules apply to all content stored through the Service, including drafts, saved versions and password-protected websites, whether or not it is published. Do not evade an enforcement action by using another account, website or domain.
Reports and enforcement
To report a harmful website, use the Report abuse page. Send its address and a short description. Do not download, attach or forward suspected child sexual-abuse material.
We may restrict access, suspend or terminate accounts, or remove content to address suspected violations, security risks or legal requirements. Urgent action may be taken without advance notice. If you believe an action was mistaken, contact abuse@lovelyco.de with the affected website address and an explanation.
Preservation and legal requests
Restricting public access does not necessarily mean deleting the underlying files. Relevant content and account records may need to be preserved to meet legal obligations. We may report suspected offences and disclose information when required by law or otherwise legally permitted, as described in our Privacy Policy. We may withhold notice of an investigation or disclosure where notice is prohibited by law or could compromise an investigation or someone’s safety.
5. Plans and payments
Available features and allowances depend on your plan. Review the price, billing interval and renewal information shown at checkout before subscribing. Manage your subscription through your account’s billing settings. For a billing mistake or refund request, contact us.
When paid access ends, paid features may stop working. This includes custom domains; visitors may see a browser security warning at a domain that is no longer connected. Check the documentation before changing plans.
6. Third-party services
Domain registrars, GitHub, payment providers and APIs you connect are operated independently of Lovelycode. Their terms apply to your use of their services. You are responsible for permissions and credentials you supply when connecting them. Their availability or changes may affect features that depend on them.
Our Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when you use the Service and its integrations.
7. Availability and legal protections
Maintenance, outages and technical problems can interrupt hosting. The service does not include a guaranteed uptime commitment. Maintain independent backups and assess whether the Service meets the requirements of your website.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to exclude. Any additional warranty or liability provisions will need to be settled before these draft terms take effect.
8. Account closure
You can stop using Lovelycode and delete your account through account settings. Download any files you want to keep first. Account deletion removes your websites and cancels associated subscriptions, subject to applicable preservation requirements. Information retained for billing, security or legal purposes is addressed in the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to these Terms
Revisions will be published on this page with an updated revision date. Any effective date and notice required by applicable law will be provided when revised Terms are adopted. The revision date above does not make this draft effective.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
